Did you check the fuses first?

the box has 3 plugs and nothing that signifies a power source not sure where it gets its feed from the ECM or the data star .

The only time I had this happen with my '98 WS was when the alt quit and I was driving it to town to get it fixed. Without the alt charging there was not enough juice it seemed to feed the gauges. IIRC the tach went to like 3000 or something, the speedo was way out and nothing else worked. Installed a new alt and all was good.

I am at a loss here I have check the grounds on the fire wall and behind the dash. the part that makes no sense is all gauges are wired in series but the fuel, air pressure , and drop axle pressure gauges are working but any thing pertaining to the motor nothing.

Well your pressure gauges for your tag and your air pressure gauges would be mechanical and just simply need to see the air pressure too move electronics wouldn't be involved at all. The fuel gauge working somewhat makes me wonder assuming it would run through the control module also but there is a possibility it is wired directly to your fuel tank sensor.

Your gauges are all wired in series because it is multiplex system.

There is a controller on fire wall.
It is drivers side towards bottom by clutch linkage
It's a small box 4"by 8" with one plug going into it .I'm perty sure that's what you need to replace
