So I put in for home time 2 weeks in advance, I'm due home on the 1st but all they send me is 300 mile or less loss going east and west. I'm in Rochelle, il and need to get back to tx....told "they have nothing going south" but I know better. Been out almost a month. I'm leaving swift when I do get home I have no tolerance for games.

I virtually never have trouble going home to Houston and often I'm there a day early. Either I go in direct or into Lancaster and pick up a tcall load to Houston.

Maybe call the Manteno planners to see if you can get a Coscto load from Morris down to Kansas City or in that direction and maybe they can stack you from there. I've pulled several southward from Owens Corning in Kansas City.

There's always loads going to TX especially from IL where there's lots of freight.. they just don't wanna take a rate cut sending you there lol.

Probably are expecting a load home for you out of that area, if the load is booked tomorrow then you will have plenty of time to get home. Hope Im right, good luck to you!

I don't blame you one bit. There's no reason for it especially when you gave dispatch a 2 week notice.Ask him to find you a swap.

I've never had problems getting to Texas from Illinois either most of the time had to be persistent a bit and decline loads with no back up home.

    Randokuky Thanks this.

Yeah 2 to 4 months is a long time out lol, unless your single with no kids from prev relationships. I have declined 1 load and they have put 2 others on me going to mi then taken then right off...
