E-Log Devices/Apps. You Would Recommend

Guess I'll use one that meets the proposed requirement as the current ones probably won't but will most likely be grandfathered in... Only good thing I've found is 3 times dot didn't even want to look at it lol ... Idaho dot told me if I'm smart enough to cheat on Elog I'm too smart to be driving truck..

 

I'm slightly over one week on Big Road app for Android. I like it so far. Yesterday I asked WY DOT officer is it OK to use app logbook? Her answer was IF you can sign your daily log and can print it it's OK

 

I asked this same thing recently -- and am now using big road. They make a device that plugs into the diagnostic port that turns it into an eobr if/when the mandate comes down.

 

So do you have to sign it after printing it....or can you use the signature feature built into the app? Ive been using the signature feature to sign at the end of day before printing and was wondering if that was ok or not.

 

Eclipse log book. I started using it and recommended it to friends and they use it too, simple easy and #### near impossible to make a mistake on it.

One time fee of about 50$ probably cheaper now and it's yours forever with updates and everything. And if you get a gps antenna on the lap top it'll mark the lines for you instead of marking them in.

You can also edit on BiG road. It's almost like paper. My cousin use it on a tablet. He's always rewriting history lol

 

I use big road, I believe with the ability to email or print the log it's legal. I've not been inspected yet to ask.
