I have never heard of it. maybe they want you to buy it so that on your home time, you can bob tail and not worry about the trailer being stolen?

but for me, if any company ever told me I HAD TO BUY something, I know how to "tell them off" as well.

I need NOT buy things for their equipment.

YOU NEED to get specific reasons/answers to that line of BS...start buying this, the next you're buying that, and this, and that, and this and that......

Never heard of this. It's possible. I'm not a company driver and I'm sure a lot has changed since I was. Just buy your own. They cost the same if not less than they're gonna charge, and it's your's to keep if that company doesn't work out for ya!

they may want you to lock up the trailer at a drop yard. just be sure to leave the keys with it, so the next driver can unlock it....!!!!!

then they will want you to buy another, then another..........

Had to buy one with Swift. It is just to park your trailer on hometime. Their's was $85, i think. You own the lock, they dont expect it back.

Crete makes us buy a kin pin and enforcer lock when they hire us. When we quit, they'll buy them back.
    Or we can keep them,
When I drop a trailer at a truck stop, I want a good king pin lock on it, maybe the thieves will see the lock and steal another trailer,
And I like a good lock on the trailer door too.
But if you like this new company, 60 dollars shouldn't upset you one bit.
If it does, simply find a different job.

might be cheaper to hire a homeless guy hanging around the truck stop, to guard the trailer.

heck, a pack of cigs, and a coffee, maybe a hot dog..cheap security.
