    LOL

Biker - tsk, you have the wrong approach. I bought my kids their own computers, starting when they were 2. Worked a charmer, that did. My machine is mine - they don't touch. Even now, when the older is 16 and the younger is 13.

Before they were two, I'd have one on my shoulders and one in my lap while I worked.. and they got to play with the machine while I supervised.

Hey Lurch, are you going to tell him I am old enough that I gave my kids Commodore 64 computers to play with when they were toddlers??? And that might mean...... you actually had one of those dandy little "computers" of your own???? (hehehe) :biggrin_2559: :biggrin_2559: :biggrin_2559:

Well... actually, I bought them Apple IIs...(now they have PCs - desktop and laptop, each)

But I did have an Intellivision...and a Pong game, when they first came out. I think the Intellivision is still in storage

All 3 of my girls were taught from a very early age how to use a PC. Had all the learning software and everything. Still didn't prevent the little urchins from powering down the CPU in the middle of some work, or worse yet, in the middle of some coding.

You have obviously failed to teach them the power of the foot, m' friend. Also, I've had cats and dogs - so the power switches are .. difficult to reach.

Ever had the cat play with the mouse and wake up the computer?

Ever been on the laptop and the cat keeps walking in front of it?

i have a friend who grabs my mail every few days or so and calls me when something important looking comes in. he and his family watch the house and even stay there at times to give it the lived in look. as for bills i have them automatically taken care of by the internet. it takes a little to get used to but being out here the mail is the least of your worries.

    constantly.

In fact, we had a cat, (until recently) who used to like lying in front of my keyboard - and across my wrist. made it hard as heck to move the mouse and type. But she was a cool cat, so I learned to mouse with my left hand as well, and just did the EP&E typing method.

SHe also had a habit of flumping down on the laptop keyboards. That made life all kinds of fun.
