Vermont is neat. I came from Indy and across US11 in NY. Would love to drive that during the day to see the scenery. Especially in VT on the islands. I could get French language radio too. I was having fun.

Cruising 90W in NY and while passing a Prime driver I see he has his cat sitting up in his lap while driving. Seriously? Sitting up straight looking out the window in his lap. I couldn't believe it. I wish I had my camera ready so I could post a picture.

My office has been pushing the envelope lately by having two of us in the truck. I told him today I am worn out and to get back on track treating this like a solo truck. I have to stay up with this student as I don't trust him alone. So these loads that require more than a 14 hour day to make delivery; guess who is losing out on sleep. He seemed to get the message this time. I did a re power last night and drove 380 miles overnight with only a short two hour nap for rest. I wasn't too thrilled. Can't wait for bed time tonight.

Went to get my preloaded trailer and it can't be pulled down the road. It is missing the rods in the back to stop you from going too far. The driver that dropped it didn't notice that when he slid the tandems back and now they are stuck there. Customer is transloading it and possibly ready tomorrow at noon. There is a completely flat tire on it too. This was completely avoidable had the guy just looked at the trailer during a pre trip.

Mis, Bro, you need a vacation before you burn your self out. Get some rest bro and never push harder then you feel you can and want to do. Stay safe. I ran from Boise, ID to Cheyenne, wy. 735 for miles Today and doing the return tomorrow. Time for some time off as my parents are moving down from Alaska and will be at my house on Sat.
Stay safe bro. -
I'm doing good. That situation last night really ticked me off though. I work hard out here and make sure any equipment I touch is in good condition. Some guys don't seem to care and guys like me end up dealing with their issues they leave behind.

As an Express driver for Knight, I often (usually!) inherited tractors w/probs that the previous Express driver dropped off for his home time w/o putting in the shop in Phx. I would say 4 out of 5 times when I was done with a tractor I would write up and park in the shop area (@ night as day shop wanted 3 signatures from the ofc b4 putting in the shop!!)---the DM's didnt like that as I was slowing down the transition to the next Express driver. Too bad but I wasnt passing crap unto the next driver... esp if safety related prob.....
Btw, when I 1st starting driving Express and Knight had 700 trucks, most Express drivers had been doing for several years and were experienced and conscientious---stopped when Knight starting growing by leaps & bounds, and many Express drivers were just 'slackers' who wanted home time to do their drugs, particularly for younger drivers ....i.e. drove just enuf to pay for them! -
Alot of rumbling from within upper management about the fact that we have gotten to big for there own britches. This is what happens when you go public, its the equivalent to the company being in crack. The last high was never enough always have to push for more, more, more until it falls on its face..
It is what it is, refeer side is still somewhat small sitting just under 800 trucks last I checked. Love my terminal and the people I work with. the bs will always be there.
