Hey, I have been training new truckers for just over a year now, i took the course, trained 8 students.
CRIME inc told me they do not have a certificate nor would they make me one. is it possible to obtain one from somewhere else. Csa? The ata doesn't like to answer the phone.
I'd like something to add to my resume.

Doubt if it will help on a resume since most trainers are rookies anyway with less than 6-12 months experience and other trucking companies know that.

Lol you're serious, and that's awesome.

I dunno man I'd use a couple students as references and just add 'trainer' to your resume? I mean...the only paper I got is a useless bachelors degree. But when I list the progressively more responsible jobs I've had, as well as actually being able to walk the walk, it seems to suffice. Anyone you'd be trying to impress with a trainers certificate will know whether you're worth a squirt of pee in a real quick minute anyways, certificate or no.

Well, save the names of the trainees you've checked off on. And if these guys all turned into great drivers after a few years have passed, maybe you can mention this on your future resumes.

But if half have crashed and been fired, and the others are now working at Lowes, maybe the certificate would be meaningless. Just sayin'. Did you not receive some sort of "bonus" upon their 6 month solo anniversary? That's something.

Regardless if it matters on a resume, i have a stack of certifications from the navy and I'd like to continue adding to my pile of accomplishments. I've been otr for 3 years and I'm done training people. But I want that piece of paper.

Download a certificate template and make up your own. Heck for a cuppa coffee I'd even sign it for you ;)
