I loaded by a swift flatbed today. His headache rack was busted loose on one side. No duct tape tho, this one was secured with bungee cords....:biggrin_2556::biggrin_25523:

I saw a quality volvo bearing the Swift name last week..... the complete drivers side step assembly had fallen off of it.

I've seen quite a few swift intermodals. But swift flatbed? I will admit, over the past 2 weeks or so, I've seen a lot of them. I knew they had a flatbed division, but it was very small and sparse.

Someone else commenting that they are paying the drivers .39/mi that's low for what I'm sure swift is making off that. Now if you are an owner operator on percentage? Maybe not so bad.

    Thats Funny,
I got my training with swift and worked for them about 6 months. Two winters ago I was hauling a load from denver to bozeman during one of the big snow storms. I was going pretty slow, safe speed i would say.
Well anyway I seen 4 trucks on thier side and about 6 others in the ditch.
not a sigle one of them a swift truck. I was passed by a truck(not sure the company) in wyoming and when we came upon a hill he stopped about in the middle. as i came upon him he couldnt get traction on the ice to make it up, I stayed on the shoulder/rumble strip to keep my tire on the snow insteed of the ice.

What im getting at is it isnt so much that alot of swift driver go in the ditch but with the company being so large you just see more. If the company was as small as most you would not hear about so many accidents.

and yes swift pulls containers, flats, dry vans, and they even have a auto transport division.

They use to have auto hauling, they sold that division, because of too many damaged cars..
