    They have a drop yard. It's actually an Estes terminal that swift parks some trailers there. I really doubt if they'd let you off for 3 weeks at a time. But their policy is 4 days and your truck goes up for grabs

    Well if that is the case then there is no point to being on the road for a long time just to save up days off? I don't see the problem if you send 6 months on the road just to take your time off that you earn to take. I can understand if they take your truck i guess if i would to do that i would just bring everything with me before i do.

    Sir,

    Swift sucks..... they always have and always will.... they are even a poor excuse for a starter company. Im assuming you are a beginner. Just put in the minimum time to get experience and move on.

    If they suck why are they #1 then? They are the biggest company out there so with that in mind they must be doing something right if they are number 1. What company would u recommend that I should go to? I was told on here that henderson trucking is the company that I should go with.

    First im not trying to insult you by any means. Second Swift is only #1 if they are in size. i have no idea. Research swift and see what drivers have to say about them. As for where you should go, i dont know your experience level or back round to give you advice.

    Bro swift does suck. I suppose that's all a matter of opinion. But they're number 1 in lots of ways probably, just none voted by the driver. Now again, that's an opinion, and just my opinion. Personally I couldn't stand anymore swift. But there are lots of 5+ yrs drivers with swift who have no intention of leaving. All companies are great for some, and all companies are bad for others. You have to find a place for you.

    Yeah you are welcome to take more than 4 days off, and you will hear it around the terminals that if you leave for more than 4 days clean your truck out. If you have a crappy truck this MIGHT work to your advantage. I have heard of them cleaning people's stuff out while they're at home. Personally I don't like the idea of switching trucks very often. I came to swift hoping to do 6 weeks out, 6 days off. But the thought of changing trucks every time I went home bothered me, and I didn't stay long enough anyway

    dam that sucks I am not a fan of that Swift makes you pay a sitting fee just to go Swift CDL school. How is it like being on the road for so long? Are you able to record while your driving? Is it hard being able to stay awake without falling a sleep?

    @Cromwell since you have 7 months experience, US Xpress considers you a first seat driver. Don't have to do training.

    That Walmart dedicated I think has a weekly guarantee of $900.
