I read on one of these threads where someone drove to the school in Little Rock. Once orientation & securement is finished; trainer is assigned; do you then start driving? When will be your first projected weekend home? I live in the Ashland, Ky area near West Virginia & Ohio. If that is so, then I could see that you could not drive fm Ky to the training & get your vehicle back.

Notarps. How many miles are Mav drivers getting right now, and is it possible to at least average 2500 a week if you like to run hard. Just wondering my father is going to Mav orientation on April 6, and I am currently in CDL training, trying to decide between the big two, Maverick and TMC. Thanks in advance for your response!

Why do you say that Maverick is great as a starter company, but not for long-term careers. Thanks.

They want you to run 2500-2800 a week. I run over 3000 some weeks. As far as the other poster I see no reason in not being there long term.

    Mailman,
Mav will send you home to wait for your trainer ,they will route
him by or near your house to pick you up, they try to get you
home for at least a few days after securement training before you head out .
