Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

Well it had to happen, it was inevitable, this day was sure to arrive and it did. Our cruise is over, back to big truck driving on Tuesday. We had a blast, we took our daughter and grandson with us. Watching the 6 year old on the ship was exactly what my wife wanted. He starts school on Monday, my wife has 3 closings scheduled this week and I go back out Tuesday. February can't get here fast enough, Pop Pop and Na Na are going on another cruise with friends to celebrate this old mans 60th birthday. Here are a few pictures of a truck driver acting like a kid, wait, isn't that most of us?

 

I was texting with my protégé, ex-trainee now full fledged solo driver Jason while I was on the ship. So far so good. In fact, I'm rather proud of how well he's doing.

 

I'm really still technically on vacation, but I have this incredible urge to start trucking again.

 

Jason, my last trainee is there right now doing a drop and hook going to West Memphis. He's in #1421.
