I am assuming that you will get to pick your loads instead of the CEO of the company.

Yes I will,,,, I am going to try and sign up as an O/O instead of being under a fleet owner but, time will tell.

I investigated them a while back, and talked to many drivers. Lots of them flatbed/step deck drivers.
They had nothing but good things to say . Freight rates are pretty decent from what I heard.
    Good luck.

Sounds like he wants to wash his hands of the business then.

I would lease to LS then and make a go of it, or if there is some place you would rather go see if he'll let you take the truck and trailer there.

I about lost it last night when I asked him again...He said I misunderstood him, yeah right,,,I told him if I did it is because he didn't explain it right, and I can prove that because I have not deleted my text's. He now says he will take 18% of the 72% and gives an example like this; "As it stands; if a load is at $3 a mile and FSC is $.30 than LS takes $.49 and our 72% is $2.21. Of that you get $1.81 plus the $.30 FSC." So, I imagine a load at $2.50 a mile and that would give me.....wait for it.....$1.48 plus FSC... Now, lest do that at a rate of $2.. that would give me...$1.18 plus FSC. I would starve at that rate..... I am looking for a company now that will give me a loan, even though, I doubt I will find one. I am a VET but have a poor credit history... God help me..

The owner is on a sinking ship. You're probably better off finding another truck. There's an agent here that will sell you a van trailer with payments too. Lone Mountain will take a 1,000 off the down payment if it's leased to Landstar. Good luck.
