This could be true.. or maybe Schneider will get their act together on these MT trailer issues and this is a way apart of that.
    I don't know...
Schneider's organization skills have been by far worse than any place I drove for..
Add in the fact it takes them half a day to reply to a qualcomm message or 20+ minutes to answer the phone lol.

    TruckDuo and Drifter42 Thank this.

Schneider's trailer problems have been around for decades.

They are simply going to force us to shuttle their trailers for them so they don't have to pay a company driver or burn company fuel.

That's only if you book 100+ miles away though they can do that right?

Yeah from the looks of it if you're next pickup is <100 miles away from the previous delivery, then you can take the trailer you have on you at the previous delivery with no issue.

    TruckDuo and freightwipper Thank this.

    Yeah. Which happens a lot.

I routinely drop a load and BT home, with my next load being over 100 mi frpm the house. Now its burn extra fuel and time shuttling a trailer, or pay $250.

There are some loads that I'll dh 150 mi for, which may now be unworkable since there isn't enough time.

Yes dealing with appointment times when dealing with MT trailer drama I see can be a big issue.

I did the same as well, and is why this will prevent me from coming back. When I'm ready to go home... I want to go home. Not get paid $25 to shuttle a trailer around to wherever they tell me (who knows, could be 50 miles in the wrong direction, only to find out the customer doesn't want the empty!), then go home. So my other option is ignore it, go home, then go all the way back to where I dropped before I headed home to get an empty, then go back the same distance plus 60 miles more to my next pickup? Or pay $250? No, no, and no. Especially if you like to be home every week, this is gonna be a nightmare for those that don't live close to a big freight hub.

    This is my biggest concern....

The closest customer to drop a load at is 60 miles north of my house...

The closest customer to pick a load up from is 150 miles southwest of my house...

The math doesn't add up in my favor...

    Roll on...

tsavory, TennMan, PoleCrusher and 2 others Thank this.
