All I keep hearing about GTI is how bad they've gone downhill. I know the trucks are not spec'd the way they used to be. They took out the door on the right side, plus there is no door for the sidebox on the right side. The dash are now the cheap ones, and some have told me that the trucks are only doing 60. Plus that they aren't getting the miles they were. I know there's still the suck ups who won't leave and believe that heartland is great, and that's their prerogative. Not for me. What it means though is that the drivers who wanted to do very little now won't even have to chain and can pull over when the weather turns a little bad. I remember how happy I was to get there. I had left Lessors, where I had been for 6 years and got suckered in. But that was then and this is now. DD, I know it sounds weird, but you "leaving" Gordon was probably a blessing in disguise.

I think so, too. I just hate leaving whe I haven't fulfilled my internal requirements. I will always have the feeling of owing them.

But I am not going to apply to Heartland to assuage my internal angst!

Nobody owes gordon a #### thing...

They quit on us..we didnt quit on them

We busted our rumps and they sold out..and to the worst company possible...why not do an ESOP....probably because of the massive debt they had..

You don't owe them anything. Nobody owes these companies anything. They could be the greatest company ever and give you a midget to make sandwiches while you drive and massage your balls on a hard day and you still owe them nothing. Let's be real honest about a lot of these companies, especially the likes of Gordon and that scumbag Heartland. Companies like those. Swift and England and so on and so forth. They tell you "Hometime is a privilege" or dictate that you'll only take this time off after you work this amount of time but the pencil pushing geeks in the office go home every day and have sick time and all that. You sacrifice your relationships and sanity for these companies and stay out weeks at a time to try to make ends meet. #### these companies. #### them in the ### with a big rubber #### and cut it off at the end and beat them with it. Nobody owes them anything except to light the son of a #####es on fire.

And by the way another thing. These ######## dictate how much money you'll make too, by sitting you at truckstops so you can stare at the wall while a cheaper newbie driver is taking the load you would have been on but he makes 1.5 cpm less than you do. When you pass a GTI/Heartless terminal, give them the finger. When you pass their drivers, shake your head at them.

Now tell us how you really feel. :D Well, I have been driving a Rug Doctor for the last couple hours. Not sure under what line I have to log that driving time.
It's nice being home and getting stuff done. I did some tire work on my trailer and made about $100.00 an hour by doing it myself instead of paying the tire guys. Window washing is next on the list. Sure is nice working ten days and being home for ten.
