Just wondering if there is anyone around here that has any firsthand knowledge of Button? Thinking about taking a job there, probably tankers on the Western Regional.

I worked for button for two years. Good company to work for. Great equipment. A mix between Petes and Volvos. Automatic transmissions. Very little sitting. Paid detention after 2 hours. I ran western regional. Western regional was 90% So Cal to Washington. Paid an extra $65 for crossing into Canada. $20 bucks every time you use the pump on the trailer. Mostly food grade with some liquid fertilizer.

How long were you typically out? How was the pay and miles?

Being that I live right off I-5 in Sacramento I was home every weekend and sometimes 1 week day a month. I never ran less than 3K miles a week. Button has freight! I was making 44 cpm plus all the accessory pay. Food grade pays by the mile, liquid fertilizer pays 25% of the load which averaged anywhere between 47-52 cpm.

I'm right off I-5 in Washington, about 45 minutes north of Portland, hope I could expect about the same. If so, I think I'm sold.

Yeah, you could very well be home that often. In the few times I decided to stay out on the road they always got me home when I wanted to be home. Taking time off isn't a problem either. They really are a family environment company.
