I see that also. I forwarded that information up to RM GIS. The search parameters are not correct in the DB.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Hubby just left his pickup location at 881 N Main St, Brundidge, AL. He expected to come back down N Main St. and turn right onto SA Graham Blvd, since that's the way he came in. And that's what the TND was telling him to do. But there were signs at that intersection that said that the truck route was straight ahead and not to turn right. He said that the intersection is really not wide enough for a truck with a 53-foot trailer to turn right. He saw no signs prohibiting truck traffic on that road when he came in this morning, so it appears that the restriction is only in one direction.

With your help, the "file transfer failed" was fixed. Transferred the files, performed the system update (all of this took about 52 hours, FYI) and finally finished. Closed Rand McNally Dock and unhooked the USB cable. The GPS acted as if it were going through the boot sequence but ended on a screen that shows "system file missing". Ran the diagnostic and repair, that took 27 hours, said it fixed 50 files. Unplugged it, start to boot, but the same "system file missing" screen pops up. Called tech support, told me real fast to remove the SD card, if that didn't work press the reset button and if that didn't work call back. Then the call was released...found that a little strange. At any rate, I did as instructed, but no change. Any input would be very much appreciated.

If a R/D takes more than 10 to 15 min then something is seriously wrong.

System files missing - It looks for certain files in the Navi/Bin and the NaviMaps, it those files are not there or it does not see them, then you will get a System Files Missing.

Take the SD Card and push it out/in a few times.
Make sure the SD Card is formatted FAT 32.
Make sure the SD Card is not corrupted.

If you wish I can remote into your computer and work with you on this.

    Thanks,
    mark

Alright, did the FAT32 format, then ran R/D again, took about 8 minutes this time. Said repaired 51 files. Unplugged the USB and it booted right up. Plugged in back in and of course says there's a map update and a system update available. Its best to download the map first then the system update, right?

Thank you again for all of your help! It sure beats sitting on hold for 30 minutes

The Freeze is a known issue and RM is working on it. I will pass the info up to RM about the trailer.

    Thanks,

Anybody have issue with your unit just not liking certain routes? My 520 just doesn't like to use a specific route in my area which is a huge cut across (895/Pocahontas Parkway) not a real parkway, it's a highway/toll road and I don't have toll roads shut off. I constantly get routed around it which adds and many times doubles my trips.

Here I was on 295 heading back to my terminal and as you can see I'm literally driving over 895, the road it doesn't like. It's way had me driving back to 64 and total trip mileage was 23mi.

So ignoring that I got on the 895 exit and from the screenshot you can still it almost immediately rerouted me that way dropping the trip to 9mi and a 3rd of the time.
