Did he ASK for any sympathy for himself and his girlfriend?

No, he didn't. So you would do well to bear in mind what is often said about assumptions. You do NOT speak for anyone here except yourself.

    And this is relevant... how?

Well, you're NOT Crete, nor are you in any position to make such a decision.

He had a passenger with him, most likely in accordance with Crete's policy regarding such things, so breakdown accomodations are made accordingly. End of story.

People are just as free to ##### about whatever they want on this site as you are to neither read nor comment on it.

The idea of that many trucks breaking down is not out of the realm of possibility in my experience, especially for a training company. I can only imagine some of the folks ran through these CDL mills with barely enough mechanical inclination to screw a nut on to a bolt, let alone knowing that a shaking front end at speed is likely caused by tires out of balance.

And beyond that, to remedy such a problem you still need shop personnel with both the knowledge AND the means to do so.

As I alluded to, giving you the benefit of the doubt as to the accuracy of your statements, I would imagine the likely explanation for that is you happened upon a slew of issues that were never written up due to either complacency or lack of knowledge, both of which are VERY prevalent in this industry.

How much experience do you have? Reason I ask is in the time I've been on this site I've read countless horror stories on drivers making a move thinking that move was UP, when it actually turned out to be sideways. I personally would prefer the devil I know verses the devil I don't.

Without at least a couple years of experience, your options may be quite limited.

Being driving since 2011. And no i didnt write up anything and (my home terminal) said the breakdowns an truck swaps were in the computer system but when arguing with them stating i been swapped into six trucks they said we throught you was only in 3 trucks!!! So they weren't writing everything up

I don't know about how they are to work for because my hubby didn't get that far. Getting past the #### that does the physicals is impossible unless you are and always have been in perfect health. She thinks she's God's gift to medicine and even thinks she knows more then an MD which she is definitely not. Our doctor signed off on everything and she still wouldn't pass him. On top of that they drag their feet until your bank account is empty and you're forced to find another company. So beware if you're going with Crete make sure you have perfect health oh and make sure you stay that way. We've had ex-Crete drivers tell us that if anything happens while you're working for them you're in for a long line of BS. Now I have been told that IF you can get in they're great. The problem is getting past that PA that thinks she's all that and then some.

Keep your head up.... Crete doesn't even sound like a good starter company to me, so maybe you dodged a bullet by getting away from those people....
    Trucking is tough on rookies.
Better learn to put on a thicker skin,.... dummies will be used & abused... , cry babies will have plenty to cry about and so on and so forth.
Calm, cool, collective, reasonable, slick, slow to anger, humble drivers always seem to get further & make more money in this bizz
It also doesn't hurt to be dumb as a fox sometimes
    And one more thing
Don't mess with the rebel flag you might wake up Billy Bob redneck
And we don't want that to happen
    ..... Do we?

Im looking at the BIG G. they dont pay as much as crete but i might try them out. Also looking at regional truck companies around ohio. Ive been driving since 2011. And still havent found a decent company. So i might give the o/o a try once the truck that my brother bought me get fixing. I come from a truck driving military family 11 brothers and im the only girl. Mightest well say im a boy too. Lol because im gay. We're either drivers or marines in my family so trucking an military is basically a tradition an crete is upsetting because they're decent except there equipment sucks. Trucks not trailers. They paid me .42. The first two weeks hired on i made 1100.00 easy. The benefits were good better than my moms an she works for the state of ohio lol. But the hell with those break downs. You get tired of moving all your #### in truck to another to another an another an another!!!!

Yes you should. He's totally correct. All experiences are just like his. And the great thing is that Crete made so much money off him. And he went to all of their shops too. Try CRST or US Xpress, then you will be with a real starter company. Good luck too you!
