Just curious, does it go off if you open it while backing?

What's the purpose of the horn blaring while door open in motion there was / is already a buzzer that goes off so if that's not enough warning for the driver what is.

I think some of these folks in GB devise these gadgets and sell them to GB as safety devices only to milk the cow.

The buzzer is the same buzzer as "hey idiot, turn your lights off". The horn is a distinct reminder for those who need a gps, flashlight, and guidedog to find their rear end.

What if you're backing up, can you have the door opened without the horn going off? The Freightliners cab is pretty wide so it's not really too bad I guess. But for some I'm sure its still easier to see out the door than try to bend your neck out and around the window. On my T600 I usually crack the door and lean out a bit so I can see around the sleeper since the cab is so narrow. Would love to be doing this with my horn blaring off at 3am in the truckstop LOL

It's a refreshing bit of Mental Floss seein the confused look on a trainees face the first few times they try backing with mine. But I'm also easily amused by someone eating worms

Walked out of orientation today. In the past 3 days, we've had 2 preventable accidents in the yard, and another one 20 yards down the road when a SNI Driver went into the wrong driveway, turned around and ripped out and dragged a decorative boulder down the road.
There was some other garbage that I won't go into, but I think I'm done with driving. Got run off the road by a truck on the way to class and then watched no less than 4 trucks
Run red lights on the way there. Being an accident, ticket free million miler means absolutely zero nowadays
