Also in the agreement it says we WILL have to comply with company policies. See safe operation paragraph.
Also drug and alcohol testing as well as physicals are to be paid by contractor now. See medical requirement paragraph.PoleCrusher Thanks this. -

There's an IC here in fontana right now that I was talking to here short while ago about it and he said he just signed it without reading it...there goes one of the if not the biggest problem..
gentleroger, tazman74, PoleCrusher and 1 other person Thank this. -
ok, so help me out here........
as far as repositioning equipment goes, now we have to do it?? (yes or no)
and if we do it, is there some kind of limit as to how many OOR miles we have to give up? I mean one time my next pick up was only 5 miles from my previous delivery yet they wanted me to run about 90 miles total OOR to drop off the MTY. I said no thanks........actually, I just went through the motions and went on to my next pick up. But a few times I've dropped off trailers for them because it was enroute or reasonably close to where I was or where I was going.
As to the 100 mile thing, I guess that's all about drivers screwing other drivers and they're pretty well sick of it. As some advice, if it's a problem where you live (as it is for me because I live in Albany GA and there ain't much in or out of here)......here's what I do, book freight through the house......Picks up on Thursday or Friday and delivers on Monday or Tuesday. I usually pick up in Atlanta and deliver in Mariana, Pensacola, or Mobile. It works for me maybe it will work for you.
Tolls???? yes or no
good luck fellas -
They need to have numbers in there to make it clearer. They have the 100 miles stated, so why not how many miles they can actually ask you to move the trailers? That's my biggest problem with it. I can understand they need to keep better track of the MTs and also to keep people from keeping the trailers on their time at home for days on end, but they can't expect you guys to go 50 (just random number) miles out of your way to drop an MT. I also assume the enforcement will be on your ICA's, so as long as you have a good rapport with yours, hopefully it won't even be much of an issue? Just guessing on that.
Tombstone Thanks this. -
See they can't force us to do anything outside the shipper and receiver thats not in shipment details. The catch is when a trailer move is added it's before the shipper which we agree to in the contract. -

My Attorney told me it's a well structured and written contract to benefit the company.
He advised me not to sign it if I want concrete language.
If I'm ok with uncertainty and feel I can work with the language then sign it.
Saving grace he told me is I can terminate it anytime I choose.
