There was just a guy on here yesterday looking for advice on how to get out from under his truck he bought in June. I think it was a Pete 387 with an auto shift. He still owed on it but is no reason not to consider it, just a matter of paying the note off and getting a release

don't buy a truck with auto trans. you will regret latter when mileage will be near 700-800k

My best advice for anyone buying there first truck is to wait till they have about 15k in cash. Then get in your personal vehicle and start driving every single back road in farm country you can find. You will see a lotfof older trucks for sale. Dirt cheap. yesterday on the two lanes through Indiana I probably saw five different trucks that could be bought for ten grand. They aren't the prettiest, but they will make money. And you just need a starter truck to let you accumulate the rings tour your next truck. Buy cheap and run the wheels off it.

When the time comes,I was thinking of going to Texas for a week to browse their inventory, biggest in the country,as you know.http://www.commercialtrucktrader.co...ERBILT|2313546,KENWORTH|2312164,VOLVO|2314540
Start in Dallas or Houston….$5k for road and lodging expenses and a week will be enough to find something I like. One more week for paperwork and a way back to Oregon.
WHAT YOU THINK? -
Go to G & J truck sales in Texas they lots of used trucks real cheap ...

2-3 weeks isn't very long to be looking. Dont rush it, take you time till you find exactly what you want.
