Hey I appreciate the words I really do. But this is how I see it. First thing is they promised a meal. The last time I checked a meal consists of more than a sandwich so please do yourself a favor and get a dictionary.

Second it was people like you that led to all the regulations being laid down by these companies. If you and by that I mean drivers in the past had done the job the way you were supposed to they wouldn't have put all that crap in those trucks.

What a load of crap. First; you got a sandwich. Eat it and be happy you got that. When I was in school in '88 we had to fend for ourselves and that included our own lodging and transportation to and from. Of course, even as recent as the 80's and early 90's, most companies were looking for self-reliant, self-sufficient people to drive their trucks. Not a bunch of self-involved whiners that need their hands held every step of the way. We wanted to be truck drivers.

Second; The regs we had back then worked just fine. We did the job the way we were supposed to and with a whole lot fewer issues. No, the regs we fight against today are mostly because of the idiots they hand CDLs to. Self-involved people that have no business in this industry that don't care how they might negatively impact others throughout the course of a day, as long as they get what they want and as long as what they do benefits them.

I love it how the noobs blame the veterans for the influx of stupid regulations when the stupid regulations didn't really come into effect until the driver mills were churning out wannabes and substandard steering-wheel holders in full force and we started importing drivers from everywhere.

I don't know why they are going to put in 100's of thousands of driver-facing cameras at the megas. You know they aren't going to use them to cull out their problem drivers because if they did/do, they'll have to abort half of their contracts because they won't be able to replace their driver pool fast enough to cover their commitments. So, what is the reason for driver-facing cameras? Makes somebody in corporate feel better?

I'm sorry you lost me on 1 major part that raise awareness about them. They gave you a hazmat load knowing you don't have the endorsement for it & told you to deal with it. Dude I know you may be a noob to the industry but tell them to f@* off. If you get pulled over by D.O.T with no ERG & no hazmat endorsement can you imagine the fines & points you'll get. They can put you out of service for that. Those fines can be high,if not higher then truck driving school
