I have the windshield wipers that have scrubbers on them. It actually does help. I would say it cleans the windows up to 90%. I haven't tried them in the winter. Thats going to be a real test. Because when the window frosts ..I can't see at all and I go through gallons of window defreezer to keep my glass clean. I went blind once... I had to stick my head out...very very scary.

Same here with the squeegee's. Two bad experiences. One time there was grit on it and scratched my windshield all up. And once before that someone poured their piss bottles in the bucket and I got piss all over my winshield, truck and myself.

    That is absolutely pathetic.

Yeah, that makes MUCH more sense than dumping it in the grass somewhere out of sight.

A Mr. Clean Magic eraser works without scratching.

I use a product called Goo Gone, available in a spray bottle. If I am fuelling up or need to stop I just pop the hood, give a couple squirts on each side of the windshield, let it work for a couple of minutes and even the worst of bugs and smear just slides right off with the squeegee.

if you're a professional, you should be able to drive backwards to avoid the bug blood and guts.

I'm going to invest in a trained monkey. I'll have it do my pretrips, fuel ups. G.o.a.l.'s, etc...

Does anyone know how much they go for?

Well, there could be some Trunk Monkeys available, out of work, or looking for new horizons. The one at 2:45 seems to have the particular experience a truck driver could use.

I bought a new squeege for the trainer's new truck. I got tired of messing with truck stop squeege that all the mega fleet drivers seem to wash everything but their windshields with. I put washer fluid in a spray bottle and soak window. Then use clean non greasy squeege and clean windshield.
