Rand McNally gps repair service sucks

    News flash, I guess I do. My secret is out. But that is old news here since 2012.

    Since you do not have the units anymore, simply telling me that they are "crap" does not mean anything concrete. Unless you have more concrete details please try to refrain from just jumping in on a thread that has nothing to do with your units that you no longer have. Since you no longer have them, nothing I say here or ask about your issue will mean much.

    I am glad you have all those products, but some drivers do not or they would like to bring together their electronics for "less" stuff in the truck.

    Since you do not own a tablet how will you know when it will break and how it will be to get it fixed?

    No need to reply, since you are pretty firm on your opinion.

    I base my deduction on what happened with my 3 rand mcnally gps-es! Power supply will break, or even worse the imput of the power supply will break! And sorry but I need a GPS while on the road! cannot wait 3 weeks to fix it. An app could be installed on a different phone!

    Are you guys scared to just sell an app and only? I mean you could also sell the hardware! but give as a choice to install it on a phone or tablet that we already have?

    Based upon your statement, I suspect you had the 710's. There was an issue with either the USB port or the DC cable, but I posted a work-a-round for that a few years back. The DC cords have been redesigned and the x20's and the x30's do not have the USB port issue.

    I am not in the food chain for Business decisions on products.

    :) Copilot device is not much better! Also I think it has windows as base OS. BUT THEY SELL AN APP! fot 110$ you install it on the phone and you are in business as long as you have a phone!

    Thank you co-pilot and thank you PC-MILER for not trying to sell us crappy hardware but selling us what you do best! MAPS AND SOFTWARE!

    Again, this is not a bash RM thread or what RM should sell. The OP had an issue with his TND being "lost" via shipping UPS.

    I understand! And Maybe I will buy the tablet if I have enough points at loves to get it free! But I think that in one of those meetings you have at work (or maybe brainstorming), you can add that a truck driver who worked for Canadian Space Agency and Lockheed Martin as DBA , Webmaster, and programmer WOULD LOVE TO PAY A HIGH PRICE FOR YOUR SOFTWARE but not have to buy your hardware

    You have to call RM Support to get an update on your ticket. I do not have access to their Ticket system. I just happened to be at GATS last week with two of them and they told me the status of your RMA.

    I am not humiliating you at all. I stated the facts as they were given to me.

    Contact RM support for an update.
