Yes but this is THETRUCKERSREPORT.COM. Not the Rand McNally customer service! May I express Myself? Just as the driver who has a copilot device did!

You are bringing up issues you had 3 years ago that are no longer in the new units. If you still had your units I could help you, but it is hard to go back and try to fix a 3 year old issue with the product when you do not have the product.

If you wish to bring a suggestion to RM, I gave you a link. I mentioned that I do not make business decisions for products. I do support.

This review is from: Rand McNally TND Tablet 8" Truck GPS and Android Tablet Combo (Electronics)
Bought the unit two weeks ago, slick app running on android. Over priced crippled tablet, with sub par specs. Just the app running seems to work, however RM released this unit without many features working out of the box. It will not connect to the dock software, and as of March 4/4/2015 was told after 30 minutes on hold, and a supervisor asked...fuel and mileage as well as poi info cannot be downloaded, but will be added, "in 7-10 business days....really? For 500 bones and their support track record, I would say hold off, till they get the bugs worked out. If you got to my website, thetruckerpodcast.com I did a 30 minute ramble session on YouTube on my first thoughts after using device for 5 hours. I am really trying to like this device, but I think it's going back...I got 15 more days to tinker...

Then let it go! I express myself on a forum! Support the person that needs support! And do not tell him to call customer support and go through a badly configured PBX options and press 12653403600000000000000

How did you manage without a GPS all this time?

It was never meant to connect to the Dock. All updates are done Via Wi-Fi.

The reviewer is correct POI/Fuel/Mileage cannot be downloaded at this time, but these are not apps. A work around they can be done manually at this time. I do not consider this "many". What does the reviewer determine to be "many"?

And what specs are they comparing the tablet to? Do they list the specs and the tablet specs or did they just make a statement based upon a personal opinion?

I stated here that he needs to contact RM support to get more details on his issue as I do not have access to RM supports ticket system.

He might have questions and instead of me being the "middle man" and going back and forth he can express his concerns directly with RM support.
