You dont have to change compressor unless its worn and not building fast enough air. Just replace unloader

    hilliard Thanks this.

This worst thing to do to clean with pressure water!!it helps for while but later your dpf will be gone!instead of paying to bake it and proper way, now will have to replace it

Sad thing was it was the company maintenance manager that told us to do it. Instead of buying the proper gear to do the job or sending it out to get done, they'd rather half-### it and spend more in the long run.

Maybe he doesn't know. Just sayin.

Hillard glad to hear you found the problem. Easier to see in the light of day. Like others said. Thread lock/sealant put it together and use it that way. If its building enough air fast enough everything is fine. Just one more thing to check for a while.

    hilliard Thanks this.

Will buy a new unloader to be on safe side. Thanks again everyone.

Would putting the white plumbers sealant tape work?

I've used that on pipe threads. Works just fine. I prefer the non-hardening ptfe paste myself though.

If it is threaded just use Teflon tape to make it stick better.
