I started with them right out of school. Website says 1.5 years experience.
The official line for system guys is 5-7 days out but I never did that except when running west coast freight. Check out the threads in the Superior Carrier Dac sub forum. I documented everything I did for 5 or 6 years.
High Point is running more out and back freight than ever. Best way to find out what they need is to give the Terminal manager a call.

Flyingmusician you will do around 140,000 to 150,000 miles per year?

Just totaled the spreadsheet today I'm at 108k as of end of this week. Did 3306 this week.
I'm averaging right at 3k a week +/- a few
They plan us pretty well and allow us to maximize our clock. You can be lazy here and make 60k but I'm a runner I don't like to sit. I try to deliver at the beginning of my windows whenever possible not the end.Last edited: Sep 6, 2015

I hit over 3200 this week and a big part of it is working the clock to maximize mileage. That took me a while to get where I needed it to be but I think I have it.
flyingmusician Thanks this. -
I did 3216 miles on elogs in a 68 mph truck this past week in 6 days. I dont like setting either. Run out my time and then take my 10 and ride again.

Even at Epes I started mid 40's and ended mid 50's by the time I left. Working their system and my clock efficiently and to my advantage made that happen.
You gotta work smart, not hard and learn how to work the company's system to your advantage.TROOPER to TRUCKER Thanks this. -
I was getting good mileage that slowly turned to great by getting in the groove with this.

Either way it is about maximizing what part of the clock means the most to you.
