Stop #####ing about rates and lower your costs

Kind of off topic but somewhat related. We have a lot of immigrants running taxi cabs around here and a lot of them have no clue how to drive. The police got so many complaints that they started cracking down on them in a 3 day blitz a while back. Found over 140 of them had identical licenses. Not to mention most of them would drive cab 16-18 hours a day, interrupted by 2 round trips up to the mines in a motor coach to drop off site workers in the morning and evening.

 

I'd like to know who does the inspection on these trucks. IMO the mechanic who would pass the inspection on vehicles in this condition should have their licenses pulled as well. I mean rust holes in a trailer frame don't just appear overnight do they?

 

They buy inspection forms and stickers from JJ Keller and they're good to go.

 

It's a little different down there, you can buy blank inspection forms at the truck stop.

 

The US seems like they have the trucking industry a lot more regulated than we do here, I never would have guessed you could buy inspection forms.

 

What do you mean by "140 of them had identical licenses"?
