Those that think the MX is bad or what not. Just remember the Come apart is having their own issues. Been hearing they are losing cams and rods. Talked to a driver 2 days ago that at 30k he lost a cam and 2 rods. Was down for a week waiting on the rods. Makes me want my heavy kitty back. LoL

    Come apart huh...

The MX is a complete pos just like the maxxforce. ISX issues are pure known mechanical problems that can be easily and in most cases cheaply handled with a little extra effort. MX otoh has major computer issues.

I have a CM871 version of the ISX ie.. dpf but no def. Probably the most reliable and easiest to maintain of all the egr engines, IF you do your research and take care of it.

I'll take spending $500 and a days work every 250k miles dealing with its quirks over sitting at a paccar dealer for a week while they throw parts at an MX becauses its shutting down with a code that not even the engineers can decipher.

LoL yep Come apart. That's been the only engine that I've ever had major problems from. Granted it was a '03 model. LoL

But it I was stating about the new motors thar are having their issues. The other driver I spoke to had a 15 Pornstar. Losing a cam and rods after only 30k miles he wasn't to happy.

I beg to differ with the DT 12... I have one and it'll scream up hills and the Jake brakes are stronger than anyone I've ever had before

Made it to McAllen, Tx this morning. Was the fourth truck to check in and the fourth one to find out that we had to wait for the Mexican trucks to still cross the border. Four and half hours later they truck I was waiting for finally made it. Load went straight from my trailer to the Mexican one. Went to close the doors and saw that there was a small blood pool in the trailer from all the pork and the drains had corks in them. Luckily there was a mobile truck wash on site doing wash outs for $30.

Nice to know they worked it out. Might have to give them another try.

Ok time to vent.... I've about had it with the planners. Got a load yesterday that I sat for 24 hours waiting on (no fault of planners but Tyson in waterloo, ia waiting till the last minute to load the trailer as it was finished loading 15min b4 drop dead time). This load delivers in FL Sunday 5am. Got a preplan picking up on monday in Tampa with a window from 7am to 2 pm. The preplan came in right at 415pm so I couldn't confur with the planners on just what the plan was. It delivers in NJ on wensday at 11. Problem lies in that I have hometime on wensday and am getting married next sat. My fiencee and I planned on me being home on wensday and with a load going to NJ and I live in southern va near the nc boarder i would not get home till thursday. I was a week late at getting home last time due to swaps that were canceled or were never made due to some unknown reason so I can not exactly rely on them fixing up a swap.
I understand that me living in va makes it a little hard for them.to get me home but it throws every thing out of wack when plans like this were made months in advance.

BTW hate auto correct as it messes up some of what I say and I don't notice it till I've posted and have to go back and edit. Turning it off would probably make it worse though as I can't spell for #### it seems at times lol
