No wonder I see so many trucks idling at a truck stop now adays. (Talkin old timers not swifties) Cost as much to do a inframe (close to) as to buy the APU aftermarket new.
Anyone use the APU Center in Missouri?

also fyi, it was not a insult or a dig toward you. Just been seen so many old timers idling as of late kind of made a lightbulb go off. =pStraight Stacks Thanks this. -
Have saved over a 1000 gallons a year since installing my APU over 4 years ago. This is staying out about 3 or 4 nights a week. Never looked back.

The ringmaster I had wasn't worth the powder and lead to blow it up. I couldn't tell you the number of hours it had on it but it was always down. Usually due to the engine. Mine was running ac and heat though.

I hope to find a good used one. Low hours. I'm just looking for a generator, and the Hondas and Yamahas of larger size with remote start are pretty pricey. With the extra headaches of adding an auxiliary tank and getting a different fuel I feel the diesel gen is the best route. The Thermokings kinda scare me because of the pricey proprietary components they use. The rigmaster can be fixed up with cheaper more readily available parts.
