If my folks were still breeding dogs I'd hook you up. But we had to get out of it. ...it's a long story that still makes me madder than hell.
(Somebody stole my dog. He was a purebred chihuahua. But acted more like a greatdane in personality.)
It's not easy, prayers with you.Rocks, chopper103in, TruckDuo and 2 others Thank this. -
Depends upon the day as to if my family claims me.......TruckDuo and HeWhoMustNotBeNamed Thank this. -
I believe I've finally achieved some air conditioning victory X2. Got the freeze switch installed on my truck so no more thawing the evaporator when the air flow stops every 30 minutes. The latest intermittent was the connection at the binary switch, both the switch and harness are new. Maybe it's good now. If not, an easy enough fix.
The Freightliner was the big victory. I've been into that thing so deep, I'm about to sell the trucks and just start getting paid to fix them. I had it narrowed down to a black box under the right front of the cab. Yesterday the parts guy says it's an "a/c protection module." Can you say over-engineered? He says it'll be here next day. Both he and I are surprised when the new one isn't another module. It's a switch and wiring kit to eliminate it! On the one hand, I got to hand it to them for selling a solution. On the other hand there's the whole issue of the problem they created in the first place that I've spent hundreds on finding and another $220 for the fix to undo it. Oh well, it's solid now. Ice Cold Air.
Third time's the charm. My wife's Passat had a headlight out. I changed the bulb this morning, no luck. I got into it this evening and the Rube Goldberg headlight contraption has a melted contact inside. It's out of warranty, so that'll certainly be a few hundred bucks. Good news is I only need to buy the parts. I've already had it apart once and got it back in with no spare parts or racing tape.

The thing Dou put up the other day was pretty appropriate for one of the many contradictions that are me. I've loved many dogs in my life. They're as dear to me as my children. Such unconditional love you get from them that you'll never get from a person besides the silly to serious and always different personalities each have. No two are the same. People always disappoint me if not initially, eventually. Dogs never do.
In reality I'm very much the person most think me to be. Cold, hard, heartless, intolerant, unforgiving......I'm all those things and make no apologies for it.
But my 2 great weaknesses are dogs and a certain hot young pigtailed redhead.Last edited: Sep 15, 2015

Rolled into the Love's here in Ft. Stockton with two minutes left on my 14. I got loaded in less than an hour at the shipper in Laredo, which is unheard of, lol.

I can't agree with all that "cold, hard, heartless ..... " stuff. You're being much too hard on yourself. Losing a loved one hurts and yes, pets count. We understand and just want you feeling better asap. You've got a big heart. That shows in the way you feel about those dogs.
