You might try the road that runs around the mall across the road from the TA. Yosemite St. Trucks park along there all the time.

Exit at Quebec St from I270 or 70. Go north towards the TA but take the ramp for Northfield Blvd. First right after the ramp puts you on Yosemite Rd.

Easy walk over to a shopping/restaurant area. Movie theater there also. Not a bad place to hang out.

Well they do make spread axle boxes.

  5. It's getting use to. Idiots inside loading your trailer, load locks or E-straps.

And being told. By a forklift driver. "Easy on your brakes"

Or if this trailer is dirty I won't load you.

I have to break my urge to "check my load".

It's not set in stone. I'll give it a couple months....

Eh. Not into Cajun. There's a Whataburger next to that TA so it served my purpose.

Got home in time to catch the 2nd half of the game. Peyton got lucky.

Tonight I throw my hat in the ring for father of the year. Will definitely get the votes from my 13 and 10 year old.

If you are wondering why just Google.....Toyota Center 9/18....then pray that I don't shoot myself.

What's worse than a driver who parks his truck at the fuel island to shower ? A driver who parks his truck at the fuel island so he can take pics of his brand new trailer.

@'olhand, we'll be heading to Dallas from Atlanta later today. Any good places on I-20 you recommend for a good meal ?[IMG]

Apparently quite a few are doing that. Last week when I stopped for lunch in Grand Bay, I helped a guy that parked next to me set his tandems. He had been hauling tankers forever and this was his first load in a long time with doors on the back. He mainly had it right, but couldn't remember the rules about kingpin to tandem max since he never needed to worry about that with a tank.

I have one trailer with air release and one without. We don't exactly run the snow corridor, but I have had no trouble with either one of them. I actually prefer pulling the one with a manual release. Fewer steps. When I slide the tandems back to dock, I can release the pins and just leave them unlocked until I'm done. Pull up, slide back, then lock them in when I go back and close the doors. Only exception being downhill docks. Braking on the hill makes them slide back up LOL.

Don't worry, you'll be backing thru Pilots with high range reverse in no time.

Now see, that's why I get along with you. That stop is almost as good as the Rockwall TA with the In-n-Out across the street.

Peterbilt, what have you done? JK, I'm like Red I actually prefer the manual release on the tandems. If it's hard to slide with the air pins, you can't let it roll and use the hand brake to get it started. Not highly recommended, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do. But if I was gonna stay box truck in a spread reefer would be the wagon of choice. As it is me and my new to me lil flat are gonna be in business on the 30th of this month. Time to get dirty! Ha!
