Since we're being honest here, no it won't.

Next time you get by a Home Depot or the like, pick up a pack of those great big, heavy duty cable ties. Like the ones police use on suspects. They're kind of pricey, but worth their weight in gold when you don't have new parts or a welder handy for stuff like that which is also kind of heavy.

It'll work for other things though, so I grabbed it anyways. Along with brake lines, hose tape and some other stuff.

I'm really freaking tired of being held up on loads because another driver either didn't give a #### enough to report it, Sni hasn't fixed it, or waiting for hours for someone to fix something that should've been fixed long before the trailer was loaded.

They WILL pay for the parts. I'll drive up to greenbay myself if I have to. Fixing stuff myself saves them money, and as far as I'm concerned if a driver takes their time to fix an issue themselves then I feel the company should pay for that driver's time.

    Anyways. Rant over.

I'm stopped at this TA for the night.. Uhh... I65, exit 61 in tn.

Yeah, I gotta be careful about that. Although non-slip shoes are part of my uniform!

    Safety first! :biggrin_25523:

Kinda think it was funny...they called Sni in front of me and they gave the TA permission to, "just get it safe and legal."

I laughed when she hung the phone up and said, "that's about as generic an authorization as you can get..."

I told them that sounded to me like it should be fixed completely and the right way. I'm glad they agreed. :biggrin_25522:

That part is now solidly welded back on...

i have seen zip ties used on mostly protesters, as they number into the dozens or hundreds. not enough hand-cuffs to go around...

maybe zip ties are used to hog tie a suspect?

    TruckDuo and Vilhiem Thank this.
