Would one of you please take this info and place it in the garage forum or wherever you think it would get the proper attention ? Thank you. This is Breaking News that will affect every single one of us, sooner or later. We all understand the CARB impact and how the Governments seem to think that they can change the Laws of Physics, or any other Scientific fact, merely by legislating it out of Existence. We all probably have wondered why Volkswagen has been the only folks to be able to offer diesels in cars for several years now. While they've done a great engineering job, there are limits and it appears they reached them. Car and Driver magazine just reported this link. http://blog.caranddriver.com/volksw...epa-diesel-laws-could-face-billions-in-fines/
TruckDuo Thanks this. -
When you can't beat the rules you gotta break 'em. Or Quit. That article shows where VW got caught with a special algorithm to attempt to detect when the car was being tested by the CARB people. The potential fines are enormous. The Truck manufacturers are obviously having the same issues, with the well known Dependability issues.

Singapore Airlines - Atlanta
@HeWhoMustNotBeNamed, interesting this came out right around the time GM admitted fault for drivers dying due to the faulty ignition switch. No one went to jail for that even though people died. If nothing serious happened to GM then I don't think anything major will come out of this other than a fine under a billion even though the maximum is $18 billion. The government will just say "oh well" and move on.Last edited: Sep 18, 2015
Rocks, chopper103in, sshewins and 1 other person Thank this. -
Parked at the house. Had a decent week on the pay sheet with 3144 out Monday home Friday. That's a good week.
Really was kinda dreading coming home this week. Debated hard about staying out 2 weeks this time but in the end came on in. Just wasn't the same only getting assaulted by 3 dummies at the door instead of 4. I guess it's just the circumstances and the way things went down that makes this one harder to take than all the rest before her.
But life goes on. Big boy is out patrolling his kingdom, grace is indignantly lounging in the dog bed sure of her superiority to everyone in the house and molly is stupid as ever lol.
The arm looks pretty raw but I can move it around now and was shifting with it since yesterday even though it still hurts like hell.
I got bacon wrapped tater tots in a bowl smothered with melted velveeta when I got home. That was different lol but very good.
Planned to Tampa again for Monday 2200 drop so i get a whole weekend in.Last edited: Sep 18, 2015
