I've got one of the mini truck stop books, but it only lists places with fuel. Does that one actually give more places?

It's well used and starting to really show wear. ...but it still has the cover, so it isn't time for a new one yet! :p

Another slow week in the spot market reefer sector, at least in the SE. I've been reading the tea leaves and figuring out where this stuff is going. Too soon to make an announcement, but I'll probably do that in a couple weeks. I'm about 80% of the way to locking in a deal that will have you fearing for your hoods when me and my son enter a truck stop. Well, at least until you see the truck in front with a different name on the door than what's posted on the trailer. Stay tuned for more later on. This weekend my smarter half decided we needed to visit the ocean. So we're taking a quick ride out to Charleston for an overnight.

And now, all the other automakers are scrambling to hide their own secret algorithms they beat the system with too. Such a crock. I topped off the DEF in our Passat so my conscience is clear LOL. I hope VW beats this, or it turns out to be a broader scandal across the industry and it just goes away.

Edited to add: This is the sort of thing that just stifles innovation. There's some fantastic, fuel efficient technology already on the roads in other parts of the world. So what do we do? Make it impossible to introduce those benefits in our own market. Makes me recall the Top Gear episode a few seasons back, where they featured a Prius. Jeremy Clarkson remarked that he couldn't wrap his head around why this ugly and slow kludge of technology was only capable of just over 40 mpg when the Euro VW Golf TDI was already on the market for years and getting deep into the 50's. All the while with Americans climbing all over themselves to get one (Prius). Amen.

When you finally get an inverter and a microwave, you'll wonder how you managed without. Uncle Ben's instant rice is part of my inventory. I buy the meat flavors and make a meal of it, but I know they have the plain and veggie varieties too. Awesome in cases where you have a few minutes for a quick snack, but not enough time for a bigger effort. Also works nice for some hot oatmeal in the morning when I'm burned out on cold cereal and don't have the appetite or feel like heating up one of the bigger Hormel breakfasts.

The things that people lose on the side of the road; I'm pretty sure that on my way to get the truck washed I happened to run over a pair of panties and a bra…

Methinks someone might have lost more than just those.

The one point that the first disaster drove home to me is that if you're going to be institutionalized........make sure it's YOUR institution and she fully understands and agrees to the rules of admission before anyone signs anything.....and that her commitment is voluntary lol

That's how you end up with a wife who will take the time to wrap individual tater tots in bacon hehehe

Running the truck by the wash...she's dirty as all get out. Haven't been able to find the place until recently since the old one moved.

It's out of the way, way out of the way. But it should be easy to hit up before I take the truck to get a Pm or when I run to the OC.

After that, parking at the OC, doing some housekeeping and then calling it a week. Turns out the guy I'm supposed to be training actually has 8 months experience in. Used to roll with southeastern. So I'm thankful for that. Don't know how long I'll have him, so I'll let him do the driving on Monday.
