I've been getting all of our trailers ready for harvest and have one that's giving me fits...when I have the running lights on and the hazards the whole trailer flashes...if I turn the running lights off everything works as normal...and it doesn't do it when one or the other turn signal is used...only with running lights on and hazards on...also its only on the trailer I've been using the same truck for 3 other trailers and don't have this problem...any help would be great thanks

    2nd that^^^

Electricity is like most of us (lazy). It will always take the easiest path to ground.

So where do I start? Should I just try and re ground the plug?

Best approach to electrical is to work systematically. Personally, I'd start at the tail lights. The wires back there tend to rot out over time due to water and road salt. The plug could be an issue as well.

Does it do it with every truck thats hooked to trailer, a extra ground wire from frame to side of 5th wheel plate is the only way to fix some trucks?

I'd start with tail lights, checks the wiring like the other guy said. Our 6 or 7 year old Wilson had so much dirt and sand behind the tail lights it was crazy ( I do lots of gravel and don't slow down much.) Anyway wire back there shorted and wad causing me issues. Didn't find it until that tail light melted

    I hate trailer wiring..

I really hate harvest trailer wiring. With a passion. Corn and hay rotting in the interstate bumper with mud. FML buddy.

Test light. Start at the back. $64 says its a corroded scotch long or butt connector
