    Needed the insurance. Our Obamacare will no longer insure me outside of my state of residence. I'm diabetic and my wife and child also have maintenance conditions, and since my daughter goes to school in GA and my wife rides with me...well, the math isn't hard. It's the second time Obamacare has changed my life and the first time I've ever made a job decision based on benefits.

    I've just changed my expectations from long haul to shorter runs. The job is actually cake. Pays pretty good, too.

    Moved one from Indy to Zanesville OH (Dollar General). Deadhead back to Columbus to pick up a relay into Michigan. Then they're going to work me over to Denver and back before Oct 18th for my follow up doctor appointment.

    Just delivered in Coldwater. Gotta head over to western Michigan (forgetting the town) at Honee Bee Canning, then deliver ASAP in the sprawling metropolis of Frankfort IN.

    Hello all, so I found this thread a few days ago. Been reading it off and on here and there. It's been like reading a good book. Very entertaining and at times good for a good laugh. Thnxs for sharing your stories. It has giving something to do while I heal up and recover from my accident.

    Zoom, I'm sure you know all about the diabetes, but careful with that. Half my family has it bad. My one cousin is nearly blind from it now. Mainly from when we we're younger he didn't manage it well. He's on top of it now but partly to late.

    Stay safe out there Drivers of trucks for a living. Hopefully someday our roads will cross and have a few stories to swap.

    Errrkkkk, spent the night at TA getting a brake issue fixed on my trailer (weak and inconsistent after the truck was loaded--broken slack adjuster). It took better than three hours to get authorization. I called to see if there was anything I could do to expedite the process, and the guy said they had several accidents call in almost simultaneously so they had priority. Then he (GASP!) APOLOGIZED TO ME FOR HOLDING ME UP!! AND APPROVED THE REPAIR ON THE SPOT!!!! Somebody call Ripley's--I may faint.

    Headed to Conagra in Frankfort IN. Doesn't show up on any of my maps or satellite imagery. Gonna follow the directions and hope for the best.
