Every time my company has a hot load that needs to get to OH my phone rings because they know I'm gonna get out there and represent for the rent.

When it's hot, my first shift to Cleveland is straight up, TA Ontario, CA to TA Albuquerque NM 756mi/11hrs legal.

I hear some people claim that it's not legal and blah blah blah but, I have been inspected on three different occasions and when the officer saw that page, they double take, calculated and insinuate. BUT NEVER VIOLATE! ...

Since you left California, no worries, but if you got inspected in California showing 756 miles......they would not be pleased, lol.

I ended up almost at 3600 the other week on elog. Managing my time and long runs help where I drove a solid 11 and only stopped a few times that week except for the stupid DOT 30

Look! I told you, touchy subject!

Never tell another driver how to run or how much they can or can't do.

Guys like Truckon and I will be running for 6 days straight (hard) and we don't have any ill feeling toward all of you that do resets ever 3 days.

I ####ING CAPITALIZE ON EVERY HOUR I SPEND AWAY FROM HOME. (Within the law usually)

I cannot fathom any other way!

I see so many trucks parked while I'm steady mapping how far I can get on which route with the least amount of weigh stations.

I can't even ####ing deliver my load without dispatch calling me with another.

And for all you high and mighties out there, NO its not forced. I'm a company driver and I get asked which load I want.

When there is nothing else or there is something hot, they don't have to make me do anything because they give me so much freedom of choice that I'm always happy to help.

I guess the reality of trucking varies person to person.

as soon as I do my at shipper I go straight off duty since I don't load or unload. When I fuel etc. we do it at our service centers so I go off duty at service center..etc, etc.

I got inspected in Banning on the way back from Ohio, they saw it and then challenged me, but I stood firm and asked them to prove me wrong and they could not. So I rolled the #### out, no violations.

I seldom work more then four days, 2000 miles. BUT when I do decide to run harder I make the same rate if not more for every mile I drive.

these newbies are so caught up in their fish bowl that just cant figure out how to make a paycheck. Then they get jealous of those who have it figured out.

Newbies? Hell you have experienced drivers the same way. They can't figure out how to do it so you must be lying or doing it illegal. Some of us know how to truck, some can barely hold the steering wheel.

I consider anyone who cant figure it out to be a newbie. Years in business dont prove anything, its what you learn in those years that counts.
