No you're right but you know it's Schneider. I'm guessing it depends on the person that's coming.. Idk cuz I know when I was doing intermodal I went thru a few state that's still like OTR even tho you dont stay out long.

I'm still on the fence right now. I got a decent job with the government, but who knows how long it will last. Every year around this time, Congress fights about spending money and shuts the government down. Last year was nice when I was with JB. I was going to Canada every day and when they shut the gov down, Customs was a breeze. It kind of sucks being on the other end of that deal again.

Yeah i understand where ur comin from with that. Not fun when ur always wondering if theres work tommorow especially w the gov. Jb is a steady job and although might not have some of perks as a gov job it still has pretty good benefits n pay..jb does have part time local jobs too maybe u can get best of both n if u got down time w the gov job u can do more shifts with jb.

Well it appears it's time for me to share as to why I've been soo quiet and stopped posting.
If you go back to the last page of comments or some of these posts I just quoted that in a sense is very revealing.
I pretty much haven't said anything in the past month and some dude comes in here thanking me for my sharing and makes a general comment not directed towards anybody specific about some ignorant attacks I have faced previously.
Suddenly others speak for me as why I stopped posting when I haven't even said why myself I stopped.
Also and importantly revealing Tennman posts a disgusting ignorant comment about me in which made me extremely disappointed and the respect I have had for him is now totally gone.. just like how any positivity from the Schneider threads has been gone for some time now.

I shall explain and point out specifically why I feel this way.
First of all from the beginning this thread has been about my experience here.. the good, the bad and my feelings. I've said repeatedly my feelings aren't right or wrong but simply my opinion from my own personal experience here.
The goal was to be open and specific...
I feel this thread has gotten the attention it has because of how open and specific on things have been posted here...
I searched endlessly for details and specific first hand information about this program before I came.
So I felt the way I'd post is in ways I hoped to see in the past.
However over time I have realized that I have been too opened and specific about some things which was a mistake and I'll get to later.
From post #1 on this thread it was my intention to share my negative experiences and frustrations as well here.. if you actually go back to post #1 you'll see I'll listed out negative points about working here that I felt at the time.
Throughout I have been extremely opened... off the top of my head from Schneider screwing up appointments, customers holding MTs hostage leading to cancelled appointments, making mistakes by going into cheap rate markets, POS trailers, Schneider being too cheap to hire enough people to answer phone calls, Schneider posting WRONG information and even rates sometimes on load board... I mean we can go on and on here. I even talked about multiple being stuck in the Northeast running regional for a week plus because I refused to leave for all that cheap freight which is in a sense sharing a negative experience as well.
My complaining has been opened to the point of this exchange between me and Tennman:

Which isn't the first I had to reply reminding people I'm here to share BOTH sides of my experience here:

My point is anybody with half a brain or not in magnificent state of ignorance knows if you want to "recruit" you don't bring out bad things rather you butter everything up and only speak positive about what you're trying to recruit them to.
When you call recruiters at a trucking company do they tell you negatives and problems with the company you'll face while working there? NO!
So to say this is a recruiting thread is ridiculous as I've exposed negatives and bashed my own job since post #1 along with posting things I'm happy about which is fair and what should be posted in this forum.. both the good and the bad.
Tennman himself said in the past:
I actually don't think you have half a brain or are in a state of ignorance... I actually think you're smart and have added a lot to this forum. I think it's just you picking on me with more off base bullying BS which you and many others have done to me as well in the past.
Which is really sad and disgusting.... this is not the same Tennman I knew of from last year.

All of which now brings me to answering why I've been so quiet.
Before I joined choice and in some time after the Schneider section was a really wonderful to read and be apart of.
Drivers were light hearted, kind, positive.. very helpful and sharing.. along with overall a great sense happiness from drivers here.
I felt blessed to come across such a section after many other areas of this forum being negative and many unhappy drivers. I gained great respect for many of the ICs here and thanked them in my opening post.
Over time however things have greatly changed.....
The Schneider section has degenerated into oozing negativity.
Yeah I tolerated many middle school style BS attacks on me for some time but it goes beyond even that...
In other Schneider threads it's just constant negativity all time and I see members attacking other members as well.
It's just not a pleasant place to be and post anymore.. let alone to simply read.
I'm all for sharing positive and negative but man it's really become totally negative here.. not just about Schneider but personal ways as well as with attacks on others.
At one time I felt grateful and proud to be apart of the community and the co-drivers here.
Now I feel ashamed to be even associated with all the crap that goes on here.
From being bullied all the time in my thread.. to a constant stream of negativity and attacks by others on others Schneider threads.. man it's really depressing!
Then it became an evident reality for me that Schneider is :hiding:when Dogals revealed it and a few days later Stevep.
At that point I was just like WTF am I even going here?!?
It's simply another thing that's a negative... when I talk crap about my job and I know my job is reading it thus I know nothing good can come from it. It's as simple as that and is a reason being extremely opened and specific could work against you personally.
In other words even though yeah things upset me here and there's negatives here I still love and value my job so pissing off Schneider isn't in my best interest.
I thought I have nothing to gain here... It's just trolls trolling me, being exposed to constant negativity and now knowing Schneider is stalking these threads.

Sooo I got to the place where I was like screw this I'm done.
I was sooo done with everything man.
I even asked the mods to delete this thread which didn't happen but that discussion I won't make public.
Although I will say they were very supportive, helpful and understanding.
Then others started messaging me.. calling me concerned about me and expressing great gratitude for the ways I've helped them and etc.
Sooo that is what kept me here though limitedly.
Outside of this forum I have contact with other ICs whom of which we've share our experiences, gave ideas and offered ways to help each other even though we're "competition".
All of which I greatly value and appreciate, you know who you are.
My point is we all have things to add for others and ways to learn and help from each other.
This random dude Nel4you went through what looks like my whole thread cause he thanked a lot of my posts and then left a comment thanking me for sharing.
Gratitude, positivity and sharing even if simply by words can make a great difference in peoples lives.
As for me I still feel like I have the best trucking job on the planet and I'm doing very well still.
Yes there's negatives, I mean come on this is a mega carrier of course there's going to be some BS but there are huge positives as to working here I can't get anywhere else which hold a great value to me.
I hope some take something positive away from all this.
I hope this Schneider section will one day turn back to what it once was.

Fw I think a lot of the negative post come about because your age and lack of experience in the industry. I think some people just take you the wrong way.

You know some of the veterans are just waiting to try and prove you wrong or twist your words because you're green.

That's what I think anyways, I enjoy the thread and think you should do whatever you want. Don't let some of these old farts get to you lol.
