Flatbed shows up.
Machinery needed to unload not ready.
You wait.
Now this is of course less common than the typical van operation.
I toss the idea of grabbing a step deck on a weekly basis. Maybe next week...Big_D409 and double yellow Thank this. -
And it's rare that delays happen. Unlike at every warehouse where you bust ### to get there only to be told to go park in the staging area for six hours.Last edited: Sep 25, 2015

I have gps tracking. Just call me and I'll tell you where any of the trucks are. I charge $25 per check call. How many per day would you like?

There is a shipper out of Waynesboro,VA..... This was years ago.... Who wanted an "LTL rate" on some refrigeration equipment. Well, shortly after the truck leaves their dock I started to get calls about an eta. 3 called in I lost patience and explained that ltl gets there when find another partial. It could be weeks.
double yellow Thanks this. -
Jb hunt brokers loads want you to click on a link in a text message so they can track you. Told them no thanks. Not very often I get a load from them, but other brokers do tons of check calls. I've talked to my company about this and all those check calls. Agreed the broker should be calling the company for my location and reefer setting. We use qualcomm so the company knows exactly where I am and the reefer has tracking with info. And reduces the chance of cell phone use. and increase in safety by calling the company and not me.
SO ALL COMMUNICATION GOES THROUGH THE COMPANY!!
