Well that was a long day left house at 8:30 back on couch by 10:45. Picked up the load and called the job site Forman for a directions in and he had the unload guys set for tomorrow. It's only 180 miles so back home 22 miles from where I picked it up.

You don't want to know how many hills I had to climb in LOW range with that load of shingles today... Anyway, here's a pic of my 'invisible' load, actually there are two tarps on the deck. That counts doesn't it?? :D

Hahah... It was the route though. Not only was it hilly, but the maximum speed limit the whole way was only 80km/h (approx 50mph), with tons of small towns and reduced speed limits. All this made for a long trip though with few miles turned. Anyway...

The load weighed approx 87k according to the bills. I always hated the gap between gears 4 and 5L on the Eaton Fuller 13-speed (too big imo). Today reminded me of that.

I'm with you on that, I hate going from 5L to 4H or 4L.... Especially when I am grossing 100,000+LBS going up hill....

I always try to change 1 & 1/2 gears as it gives you more time when you are downshifting. The 4h in a 18 speed does come in handy when your heavy. I usually stay in high split through the bottom box then split all the top box

2nd last load with the condo! I just saw the 'new' truck for the first time. It's a mid-roof with a headache rack. It's like a dream come true! ;) ...except the super singles on the drives.

No!!! Never will be as far as I know. The real new trucks (2015s) are white with red decals. Not looking like TransForce trucks at all. This one is black, too.
