Anything east of 47 is over crowded and over priced. when I moved 3 years ago the DeKalb-Sycamore area was getting like that.
I remember when you could go from Algonquin to Aurora on Randall Rd and there was nothing out there but corn and beans

Parked at the Love's in Dickson, TN. Didn't like the first spot I picked so I moved to a more level part of the parking lot, across from the scale. Had to wait for a driver to pull out and back in 3 times for a straight back in spot. When he was supposedly done, I drove past to turn around when I saw him pulling out a FOURTH time. He either can't straight line back worth a crap or he's OCD and has to be EXACTLY centered and straight. Pulling a reset here so if you're coming through on 40, feel free to stop by. Just look for the white Volvo with the Patrick Starfish in the windshield. :)

Fun fact. Rockford actually had at one time (maybe still, not sure) a higher murder rate than Chicago.

Seeing as how I'm safely nestled between the two, I feel soooooooo much safer

Well Pete.....truth be told since the expansion I do know....nor do I pay attention to 1/2 our new so called drivers&of course most don't know me....but most all know my truck.....lol....but couple dead giveaways in ur posts....in a 660....been 10 clowns in each of the 8 of those p-o-s...since we got em....so he's new.....he must be in one of the last 2 cuz they've been leavin over the last few weeks or so as the new bigger plastic p-o-s 680 have been arriving...in horribly ugly colors I might add and of course my s/n is old handle....and very very few of our drivers know me by that.....course I did love the line about "He HAD to go to Tejas last week". Of the few of the newbies I have had to come in contact w/thats usually the first bit of whinin ya hear....about how all the senior guys have all the good runs tied up.......and he prolly is getting new truck since they did the usual rounds of "Want a new truck?" to alot of us.....and as usual we all passed....lol

I have that problem, I get in a spot then have to pull in and out a couple of times to put the truck exactly where I want it and I'm not happy till I get it there

per capita Rockford has the higher crime rate, both cities are crap holes as far as I'm concerned

Might have been me. I'm OCD like that.

Of course being a super trucker I get it right the first time.
