I think Southern Ag has a few flatbeds, but mostly dry van.
CT Transportation(flatbed) might hire you. I read they're buying new Mack trucks with APU's.
Rosedale Transportation in Dalton just hired a new CDL grad, so that's another flatbed company to research. They've been hiring a lot lately all over at their various terminals.

Most trucking company websites aren't up to date. Freymiller just hired a guy that hasn't driven in 5 years and so did Abilene. Can't remember their screen names on here, but they posted about it. Western Express flatbed will also hire you, but their reputation isn't good; it's still gets you back on the road.

They want to say your not qualified because you havent done OTR driving the last two years, lol...But the real reason they say your not qualified so they can keep you at the lower end of the pay scale, nothing more, nothing less.Any company that tells you, you are not qualified to DRIVE OTR just because you haven't been sleeping in a trk..Is really not worth driving for..DO NOT under sell yourself, If they dont bring you in AT top pay scale move on..

    GoldenLad and L.B. Thank this.

Why would you want to go from LTL to OTR anyway ?..make it a good excuse, not the same ole generic reasons..

I'm being starved out. Hours and pay are down 50% from what I was making just two months ago. Going back OTR because I want to. I enjoyed my job when I was OTR.
