How to deal with people knocking on your truck in the middle of the night

    I've learned early on knocks on my truck only could be bad news so I've taken the ignore them approach which usually works.
    However the other night at a truck stop every few hours it happened and it woke me up in the middle of the night, I was soo pissed but I reframed myself because I didn't feel like getting stabbed.

    So what do you all do in these types of situations?

    put a bear trap on the ground at the bottom steps, on both sides. cover with some straw or hay, or typical truck stop parking lot trash.

    i sleep so much better, but when the traps snap, it wakes me up from all the screaming...

    i hate that...

    When I went into the truck stop the next morning and told the cashier that problem they've got out there another trucker in line says what he does is next to the window pretends he's calling the police and giving a description of them. Said it works every time

    Last time this happened to me was at a crowded truck stop. I parked way down at the end againat the curb at the end of the fueling island (like waayyy down, not n3ar the island at all with lots of room).

    Well when the knock woke me up I noticed about 3 other guys had taken to my good idea as well. I guesse the store employees had a shift change and the new guy wasnt having it so I had to move.

    Never really had much of a problem with people knocking on my door while I slept.
