I hate Peoplenet, where are you parked and recipes thread

Not exactly sure how you're gonna fix that by sliding the 5th wheel. Weight's gotta come off the back of the trailer not the drives.

Apparently not. Slide it out and be a little heavy on the drives until some fuel got used up?

You drive forward fast and slam on the brakes, shift that load!

When I worked at Walmart, we had just started that organics recycling program. A tractor trailer with a dump trailer that had a hydraulic lift on the back that would hook the organics dumpster from the rear and dump it. One day when he came to pick ours up, he realized the load was uneven. Made a uturn, went to the other end of the back lot. Took off grabbing gears and slammed on the brakes, shifting the load. I got a kick out of that.

 

Those bins would make you lose your appetite. That smell.....

He told me that stuff was sold to dairy farms to feed the cattle.

 

Back when I did road construction, we'd shift loads like that all the time

 

That method didn't occur to me. Probably because if I did that, there would be a couple of skids of chicken nuggets and reefer unit in my bunk. Load would be balanced though, so there is that.
