I'm thinking about new options since my current unit can't be updated since the dock software wouldn't install on three of the computers I own.
Looking at the iPad mini four with cellular connection, it's my understand that this version has the GPS built in compared to the wifi only model.
I think the split screen option could be interesting, example, running the copilot on one side and MyRadar app on the other showing weather.
Just my thoughts as I search new possibilities. -
I thought all models of the ipad and ipod touch had built in gps. I have an ipad2 with cell antenna and it does but I thought they all did.

I'm glad I didn't overlook this, could be a costly mistake by getting the wrong unit.Attached Files:

Wow! I was not aware of that.

I've been testing the copilot app one iPhone, so far I'm happy with it. Ordered the iPad mini with cellular (GPS version) will be running the copilot app and MyRadar app side by side.

i don't see how a internet required weather based app can compare to a NON internet gps app.

The iPad mini 4 can do multi tasking, split screen, it will run two apps side by side on the same device -
nm. i mistook your comment as comparing the two.
that would be a cool deal to have doppler going along side the gps.redoctober83 Thanks this. -
I will upload a picture once I receive the device in the mail
