    Tankers around here don't pay very well. I'd make more OTR. Gas haulers want you to work weekends and when I ran regional with Millis I was home every weekend. One of the reasons I was looking at flatbed is that most of the companies in the southeast offer weekends home.

    I pull a 48 footer over in Delmarva every day, often with a full load, averaging around 15 deliveries a day ranging 280-300 miles a day, and get paid very well to do it. I defy any idiot "Billy Bigrigger" type who's likely barely out of puberty to try and tell me I'm not a "real" trucker just because I drive a day cab.

    Besides, I'm one of the few LTL guys who uses a CB. :cool:

    Just got a call from McElroy to complete my application. They asked about my driving school? Four years of experience since I got my CDL back and they ask about a school?
