You might have to delete the Cache folder and force the update again. If you are computer savvy I can tell you where it is.

    Thanks,
    Mark

The Dock will work on Win 10. I run that on a Toshiba. To get it to see the 730, leave the 730 on and connected to the computer and then reboot your computer to force the USB port to allow a higher draw of current.

If you already have uninstalled/reinstalled and it did not work, I would suggest you clean out the registry of the "Dock" files. If you do not know how to do this I can remote into your computer and do this.

The last issue has been fixed, you just have to update.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Force the usb port? I've got to wonder why it won't work without it?

    So here is my story.
My wife and I both have TND-720's but as I am not working at the present I don't need mine but want to keep it up to date for when my wife's crashes, and it will at some point in time. I have been running into Navi.exe errors, scrambled maps, and telling me my license has expired. I have uninstalled the dock several times and also just deleted the cache file. Previous to last attempt when I hook up to dock it tells me map update and regular update available so I do map first then regular. I then do a diag. and repair and comes back with 133 bad files so fix them then the dock tells me there is still a map update so I do it. Then I try to run a route but either get the dreaded Navi.exe or unit boots but maps are scrambled or unit won't respond.
So now what I have found is that when trying to do a clean update after deleting dock is that the unit starts out at V-2428 after doing map update it goes to V-3590 then when I do the reg update it goes back to V-2428.
Last night thought would give it one more try before turfing it in the trash so started with new dock, did the reg update first then map update, did diag and repair and it only found 9 files but when finished it STILL showed map update avail but didn't do it, tried the unit out and seemed to work and stayed on V-3593.
The map update that's still avail says it's only 4 files but I'm leery of doing it cause if it screws the unit up again I would have to start all over and I am already getting to the point of scrapping it. Just downloaded remaining map update but did not install, checked my cache folder and the 4 files that were added were- Upload, BadPurchased.dat, INFO and PurchasedManifest.xml could any of these screw up the works????

Newer computers within the last few years now "power share" across USB ports on the computer. The 7" model requires more current draw than the 5". Usually you turn the power controls on High instead of Eco mode. Sometimes the USB ports will stay at a level current draw. Leaving the 7" connected and rebooting the computer makes the computer "sense" it needs to provide more power to that USB port.

    Thanks,
    Mark

For some reason the 720's are now displaying this issue after an update. I will have to "take back" a 720 to the older maps and try the Dock update.

I saw this last Friday when remoting into a customers unit I deleted the Cache, forced a new update from the Dock, updated the 720 and still it tells me that a map update is available and they do not see roads. It is reading the SD Card since it boots up.

I am unsure of what is causing the issue till I can duplicate here.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Mine seems to b working fine after starting out with a new dock and updating the software first, which seems to be for V-2428 then updating the maps which brings it to V-3593. The only reason I downloaded the remaining map update was to find out what those 4 files were but now the dock wants me to install them which I don't want to do right now but when the new version map update is available it may not show unless I can delete those 4 files safely or just something within those files that may b causing a problem so that the dock will only show the new version update and doesn't install those 4 files.
BTW-what version will the new maps be???
