Hey... was able to move it today.... gave it some good rocking back and forth... Maybe the first time I tried, over 2 yrs ago, it was stuck cause it was winter and it might have been a little frozen... But now is FREE!!!

I need to buy a lottery ticket. Rolled the dice and tried checking in on my 0400 tomorrow appointment 5 hrs early. Got a door and was back out in record time. So now sitting at my FCFS pickup waiting for them to open. With any luck, the produce is not still in the field. That mystery will be solved in about 5 hrs. Windows open and quiet at the cabbage shed.

Thanks again for the advice on the PA-901/54 cut thru. I managed to do that in daylight. What an awesome ride. Probably not so awesome when the snow falls. When someone said typical PA backroad, I was expecting a goat path like PA-28 between Brookville and Kittaning. I was pleasantly surprised 901/54 was not that.

Also caught a glimpse of the lunar eclipse. Clear skies over Rochester NY. I forgot to look until around 2315. It was already past totality, so I missed the best part. I was still driving at that time and did notice the light from the full moon disappear.

 

Yes... I know that exemption is not "valid" in all states.... although my company says it is...

Hey... my company may be too picky on rules and regulations, HOS and weight and equipment compliance and all... But the company built a good reputation on safety this way and we VERY rarely are pulled in for inspection...
I have been in this company for over 2 yrs now and have had ONLY one level 3 inspection... nothing else...
We don't have PrePass in our trucks... so we HAVE to go in every open scale house... But they constantly give us GREEN light...
That's the result of us being the way we are... and we gotta keep it this way...

 

BTW... on Sunday I got one tire replaced, then re torqued, then fueled, then did groceries at Walmart in Avondale, AZ and arrived at my company warehouse in CA in the afteroon...
Not alone... there's another driver here too...
Now parked quietly at the dock here....



with APU running for the fan and lights... Did my cooking... tomorrow will be unloaded and who knows where will go next...

 

the DOT doesn't really care about the company safety score
over here we are one step from intervention and I have one level one and one level 3 and have to pull in to all open scales too
they haven't arrested me yet
