Almost home. I'm pretty sure I got conned on an early delivery and may be here overnight, about 50 miles from the house. Although, after thinking it thru, it would take as long at the "appointment" time 1400 tomorrow. I thought I had been here before but it was another produce place at the end of the same road. Not revealing where, as you never know who reads these posts. But they have surpassed the dummy threshold compared to any grocery warehouses I've ever delivered to. Ever. In 4 years. I mean worse than stump stupid. It was like talking to people with half a head. No, on second thought, people with half a head would be better.
I guess I did ok leaving late, Cincinnati was as ok as it gets in a torrential downpour that covered OH and KY. The big smash up was northbound just across the bridge, so not my problem. Two brake checks due to the weather. I got the good one locked on the dash cam. A Jeep with the wheels bent in a way that defies physics. Kind of like the Swift picture. Apparently spun into the median wall in a very special way. I'll share a screen shot when I get home and get it off the camera. Maybe it was another swiftie on the way to work?
I finally got a cup of DD at the Jeffville TA. About equal in my opinion to the Seattle's Best medium strength, brewed on the truck. Then again, I'm not a coffee snob so I don't know what I'm talking about.
Timing worked out for a stop at one of my favorite rest areas for a break, I-75 SB Jellico TN welcome center. Got the best spot at the front of the line. Very cool when the clouds obscure the mountains. Incidentally, it stopped raining 10 minutes before I arrived and did not rain until I was up the grade heading into TN. Both me and the dog got a walk, then lunch.

LOL.. I click on "post" trashing the place I'm at and my phone rings. Trailer's empty and I got enough hours to top the reefer tank and washout if it needs it. Woohoo! Guess I'll have to limit the hate to the gate team.
Rocks, Vilhiem, sshewins and 1 other person Thank this.
