    We came up on a low bridge in Detroit when we first started. USX sent us there to drop off our trailer at the companies drop yard. Missed the yard entrance so tried to come back around. Took the wrong street. 13'2(4?). Since Detroit had recently filed bankruptcy, the cops took at least four hours to come out on non-emergencies so I decided to get out of the truck and control traffic so my wife could back up. The funny part was this went down in front of a fire department. They just stood there and watched us. LOL

    I80 took over the old US40 route west of Salt Lake City and US50 west of Sacramento.

    About the only two original US Highway transcontinental routes to actually still go coast to coast are US20 and US30.

    Interesting side note, while it's "0" would make you think US90 was an original transcontinental route, it was not. It does start in Jacksonville, FL but has always ended where it does today, in Van Horn, TX.

    I70 uses the US 50 right of way from grand junction to I15 in UT
    I80 uses the US 50 Right of way West of Sacramento.

    US 50 still runs South side of Sacramento to South Shore area of Lake Tahoe, drops to Carson City NV to Fallon NV and out to UT. It coexists with I70 From I15 over to Grand Junction CO where it splits off again and rolls on East to DC. Some roads use the right of way, but the basic route is there and intact CA to Ocean City MD.

    Look on your map. US70 parallels I40 for a while and US40 parallels I70 for a while. The potential for confusion is why I50 was never proposed as it would follow a path close to US50.

    Though that situation hasn't stopped US74 and I74 from coexisting on the same roadway, lol.

    I stand corrected. MD it is. All those states that are smaller than counties out in Cali keep me confused.

    Half hour north of Louisville off 71 parked amongst the general population..

    This is a very bad mistake parking here surrounded by idiots, I'm so tired I don't care at the moment.....A good many of these no driving idiots should not have a CDL..
